The following Supplementary Conditions for the Purchase of Goods (Supplementary Purchase Order Conditions A) together with Purchase Order General Conditions apply to all University of Saskatchewan purchase orders for the procurement of goods, unless otherwise expressly agreed to in writing.

  1. In the event of supplier’s, or vendor’s, or service provider’s, or contractor’s, or individual’s (hereinafter Supplier) failure to deliver as and when specified, the University of Saskatchewan may cancel this Purchase Order in whole or in part without prejudice to other rights and remedies, and may return part or all of any shipment at supplier's expense and further charge supplier for any loss or expense sustained as a result of failure to deliver.

  2. All goods or materials supplied shall be new (unless otherwise indicated on the Purchase Order), of merchantable quality, free of any defects and deficiencies, fit for their intended purposes, and in complete conformance to the specifications, drawings, plans or samples specified on the purchase order

  3. The University of Saskatchewan reserves the right to return at Supplier's cost, any goods not in compliance with "The Sale of Goods Act" (Saskatchewan), and Supplier shall replace unacceptable goods or refund purchase price.

  4. Shipping and Delivery:
    1. Ship all goods to address indicated in the "Ship To" box.
    2. The Supplier shall enclose a priced packing slip complete with name of Supplier, Purchase Order number, contents and associated unit prices.

  5. Ship most economical method unless otherwise specified herein

  6. Supplier accepts all responsibility for the information they provide on the NAFTA Certificate or Statement of Origin.  Supplier also accepts any liabilities resulting from inaccurate data or failure to comply with NAFTA requirements

  7. The Supplier verifies that all electrical equipment to be furnished is approved based upon Canadian Standards (Saskatchewan) and labelled by a testing laboratory operated by:  the Canadian Standards Association (CSA); ENTELA; The Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada (ULC); Underwriters’ Laboratories Inc. (with combined Canadian and US marks); Intertek Warnock Hersey; and Intertek ETL Semco, or by a testing laboratory recognized by the Chief Electrical Inspector of SaskPower.  (See – Electrical Equipment Certification)
